LEMON (Location Enabled Mobile Opt-In Network), lunched on Broadway at the NY Marathon, pioneering mobile location technology through our original platform building an opt-in “Find My Friend”.

Using early GPS and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, we connected people, places, and moments at some of the world’s largest live events, conferences and festivals.

As one of the first scalable systems that could recognized user movement, trigger personalized messages, and deliver offers based on proximity, it was deployed at World Cups, US College Football teams, NY Internation Auotshow and and many more events, festivals and conferences.

The challenge wasn’t vision, it was processing power. Ten years ago, the data volumes were enormous. At one point we had 2.4 million devices uploading thier location data every 5 minutes. I think we were respomsible for an East-Coast, AWS outage (not long) that broke the Internet.

Real-time processing was not possible.
